Here Comes Art to Escape the Winter Doldrums

  • Keyes Art 45 Main Street Sag Harbor, NY, 11963 United States (map)

With the Newport Winter Festival fun behind us, art galleries and museums will help you make your way past this rough winter. There’s plenty to enjoy, so let’s get to it.
First, congratulations to the award winners from the rousing and rechristened Members Annual Show, titled “Springboard,” at the Newport Art Museum. Karen Gielin received– the Innovation Award, chosen by juror Julie Keyes, who gave the Juror’s Award to Tas Mahr.
The museum’s staff voted their award to Oscar Molina, and Keyes named Vanessa de Zorzi as Emerging Artist winner.

The show is filled with interesting work by over 90 artists and will remain on view through the end of May.
The museum has several other exhibitions on view until that time, including its retrospective of Newport artist Howard Gardner Cushing and a small show of work by a contemporary Newport artist Pamela Granberry.
